Bistro Central Parc
Written by Godfrey Daniels
There’s now a sleek little bistro on the sweet spot between Divisadero and Masonic in San Francisco's Nopa District.
The latest brainchild of chef/owner Jacques Mauera, whose Baker Street Bistro has been a mainstay in the Marina district for years, the bistro sits on a quiet residential stree offering authentic European atmosphere and  service.

The Boulliabase ($18.50) here is as good as any in Marseille. Twin rounds of toasted baguette dressed with a great garlicky rouille, are perched atop a richly reduced sea-broth redolent of saffron and crowded with soft onion wedges, potatoes, succulent mussels, clams, and sweet scallops. Perfect with a glass of Pouilly-Fuissé ($8).

For dessert, dive into an ample portion of profiteroles ($7.50) glistening in their tight-fitting garb of Belgian chocolate.
