A Simple Parable

Once upon a time, two enlightened wolves came to the conclusion that it was their duty and responsibility to educate sheep in what they termed "The Way to Wolfhood", a new philosophy based upon the principle of "Feeling Wolfy".

The two lupine philosophers decided to teach a course in "Wolfetics", a philosophy based upon the principle "Be a Wolf Now!"

So they placed an ad for a three-week course in the "Sheep's Grazette" and soon sheep from everywhere were literally flocking to attend. In the first week the students were instructed in the proper way to "Break Free From Their Sheepish Conceptions", "Cease Woolgathering", and "Find the Wolf That Lurks Within". In the second week, the sheep workshopped all nine of the primal Wolfonic ideals as articulated in the Holy Lupiad. In the final week all the sheep received a powerful form of transformative bodywork known as "Getting Wolfed".

Then, near the end of the course, a strange thing began to happen. Students began to disappear. At first it was a just a few, but then entire workgroups at a time. When some of the remaining sheep finally began to inquire about the whereabouts of their classmates they were told that the gifted students had been chosen to attend an "advanced" workshop offered in Cleveland. This answer immediately satisfied their concerns and the sheep quickly returned to their exercises, which at that point consisted of advanced gnashing and salivating.

When graduation day finally arrived, only one ewe named Shirley remained. She had no wool at all, and actually stood upright on two legs. All alone in the pasture, Shirley slowly starved to death while patiently waiting to receive her diploma.

Moral: if you're not a wolf or a sheep, you have no business
living in a simple parable.
